Refund and Return Policy

(This policy applies to all orders placed on or after this date.)
Beta Phase Notice
Birdphone is currently in its beta release phase. Each device is part of a limited production run as we refine hardware, software, and support systems.
Because we are a small team operating independently (without corporate funding), we only accept returns for defective or damaged products at this time.
We strongly encourage all customers to read the full product description, specifications, and compatibility notesbefore purchasing to ensure Birdphone is right for you. We’re building something meaningful — and transparency is part of that mission.
1. Returns (for damaged or defective devices)
To be eligible for a return, your Birdphone must:

Have arrived damaged or non-functional, and
-
Be reported to us within 7 days of delivery, and
-
Be returned with all original packaging and accessories,

Include proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email).
To start a return, email us at info@birdphone.org with your order number, a description of the issue, and a photo or video if possible.
2. Refunds
Once we receive the returned item and inspect it:

If the device is confirmed to be defective, we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

If the device is returned without a confirmed defect or is damaged due to misuse, a refund may be denied or reduced.
3. Exchanges
We offer replacements for devices that arrive damaged or defective.
Let us know within 7 days of delivery and we’ll do our best to make it right.
4. Non-Returnable Cases
We do not offer refunds or returns for:

Devices that function as described but did not meet personal preference

Buyer’s remorse or incompatibility with personal carriers (see compatibility notes before purchasing)

Missing original packaging or accessories
-
Final sale or discounted units
-
Gift cards or digital products
5. Orders Placed Before April 29, 2025
If you purchased your Birdphone before April 29, 2025, you’re covered under our original 14-day return policy from the date of delivery — no questions asked. We’ll continue honoring that policy for early supporters.
6. Cancellations
Orders can only be canceled before shipping.
If you need to update or cancel your order, email us at info@birdphone.org as soon as possible.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method. We’re not liable for lost or untracked returns.
8. Policy Changes
We’re evolving as a company and reserve the right to update this policy.
Any changes will apply only to future orders and will be posted here.
